About the Role
Position includes:
Customer Transactions: Process customer purchases at the cash register, including plants, gardening tools, and other nursery items.
Cash Handling: Accurately manage cash, credit, and debit transactions. Provide correct change and receipts.
Customer Service: Greet customers, answer questions, and assist with product selections as needed.
Product Knowledge: Stay informed about nursery products, plants, and promotions to assist customers with inquiries and recommendations.
Maintain Cleanliness: Keep the checkout area clean and organized, restock registers with necessary supplies (bags, receipt paper, etc.).
Assist with Plant Care: Occasionally help with basic plant maintenance (watering, rearranging) if needed during busy periods.
Requirements
Previous cashier or retail experience (preferred but not required).
Friendly, approachable, and customer-focused attitude.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle busy periods, especially during peak seasons.
Ability to stand for long periods
Strong communication skills and a positive demeanor
Minimum Age 16 years
